Great Win Against Siena in 3! Match to the Stags and a Wonderful, First-Ever Publishing Party on Campus for Our Summer Writers

I had an idea. Why not make a public publishing party for our summer crew (with Peppermint Patties to complete the alliteration and to should out to the incredible, retired Dr. Tracy Roberts who loved the treat).  Over here 70 families signed up for the game and the incredible athletes did not disappoint. We're loving Coaches Somera, Wagner, and Stone. They are dedicated to the women on their team and bringing forward their best in them all.

I especially loved hearing from the families that this was such a great way to celebrate the kids from the summer. Many had questions about our publishing tradition and even more wanted to thank me for an incredible family afternoon that they might have missed without an invitation. They were hooked and super impressed at the powerhouse of the players. They're looking good.

I told the coaches and parents, what we need now is a great middle to high school young adult text to add reading to the collaborations and outreach. I'm all about the sport, the writing, and the community outreach. Spectacular.

Today, I have until noon and then the preparation for alien probing begins. Columbus Day colonoscopy on deck. I only have vague memories of the last one, and all I can remember is it is brutal.

Also, thrilled to attend the baptism of lil' Anye yesterday in Shelton and having family time with the crews at Gustos in Milford following. I only wish the food and open bar could have been for after the game. I would have spend the night in the restaurant.

The Nor'Easterner arrives around 9 a.m. so I get to spend my day inside storming, while outside there's a storm, too. Will be glad when I'm on the other side of it all.

Here's to the great success of yesterday's event. It was so wonderful to see so many wonderful human beings watching even better ones on the court. Good times!
